SEA Design

This morning I have spent a short while researching brand identity campaigns in conjunction with the Robin Moore Carpentry brief; the following being completed by SEA Design in London. Each example is followed up as to why I believe they are relevant:
Gordan Ramsay: The bold type conveys a no-nonsense, professional attitude. This also helps the brand achieve an affordable look without coming across too expensive or too cheap. I am a bit uncertain if the upper-casing seems all that friendly, although I admittedly find it hard to judge as I know the infamous personality of Gordan Ramsay already.

OQO: Extremely simple, almost mathematical. I have no real pre-conception of the brand's ethics and to me they seem reliable, professional, but almost clinical. This is a good example in my opinion of how something too clean and precise can perhaps become slightly too corporate and/or un-inviting?

Staverton: The staverton logo I really like in context to the brief. The type is quite neutral, as per Helvetica and isn't too corporate, nor too personal. The same goes for the pricing connotations. One important aspect of this however is the colour. Yellow with black conventionally says warning/caution (i.e the big reels of tape). This on the one hand connotes manual labour, but on the other hand is something to be weary of... All of this I must consider whilst approaching a brand for Robin Moore.
